Main Purpose of Position

This position is responsible for managing the general accounting functions of the company and ensuring that our client is compliant with the various accounting and government regulations as well as fulfilling the needs of the day to day business.

Structure

The position reports directly to the Corporate Controller and will have daily interactions with the various departments within the organization. The position will have 4 direct reports who are mainly responsible for the Balance sheet.

Nature & Scope

This position is critical in assisting the Company in ensuring proper accounting mainly within the Balance Sheet. The accounting manager will review existing processes and reconciliations for accounting soundness and recommend changes as required to meet accounting standards and the needs of the business. The associate must understand how our client goes to market and maintain financial models to monitor and safeguard the assets of the company, specifically the cash flow.

The manager will play a crucial role in the annual budget and quarterly estimates for cash flow and the balance sheet to the parent company and senior management as well as the in-depth variance analysis and reporting of monthly results. The Associate must understand such market conditions as interest rates, foreign exchange and funding requirements. Information must be clearly communicated in reports and verbally to senior management for the timely decision making process. The Associate is responsible for coordinating all sales tax compliance encompassing; reporting, payment and setting up of processes for the company to follow.

The incumbent must be designated professional with a minimum of 10 years experience in an Accounting Manager role, preferably at the corporate office level for a wholesale distribution company with multiple product lines.

A University Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required in addition to an accounting designation (CMA or CGA)

Very Strong pc skills are required with specific emphasis on Excel.

Specific Accountabilities

· Perform Balance Sheet analysis of the company. Duties to include forecasting, monitoring, analysis and reporting.

· Provide support to Management accounting for cash flow management

§ Review and approve department reconciliations, journal entries and period end accruals. Responsible for monthly closing process and administer the various accounting tables in E1

· Provide support for annual audit and year end closing

· Perform foreign currency revaluation of foreign currency based GL accounts each period end.

· Government Reporting and Tax remittances

· Manage an accounting staff of 4 associates

The Consultant Technical Support Auto (CTSA) position exists to provide timely technical information and advice to support Auto dealer technician efforts to achieve "Fixed Right First Time" objectives.

Structure

The CTSA position is based at Head Office and reports directly to the Development Manager Service Operations Auto. The CTSA position serves as a vital two-way communication link between Dealer staff and Field and Head Office associates regarding all aspects of field technical issues.

Accordingly, the CTSA maintains a close cooperative relationship and effective communications with both Dealer staff and service division associates.

Nature & Scope

· The CTSA takes ownership for ensuring timely implementation of appropriate activities for all Technical Hot Line inquiries received through the Tech line communications portal and all other sources.

Specific Accountabilities

· Provide timely response and action to Dealer/Internal requests for technical information directed to the Technical Hotline. · Create and submit warranty claims for remote locations an issue cheque requisitions for dealer payments

· Accurately document all details of client contacts in the appropriate database.

· Obtain and maintain knowledge and understanding of technical information contained in all resource materials on an ongoing basis. This information is fundamental to CTSA job performance and effectiveness.

· Assist in the research and preparation of technical training and other technical support materials.

· Research and prepare Field Trouble Information Reports.

· Attend weekly conference call to facilitate information flow to and from dealers.

· Prepare routine reports/presentations related to field issues for internal distribution.

· Provide technical information and administer parts supply to remote service facilities for vehicle warranty repairs at those locations.

· Other duties as required.

Opportunity Description:

The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Executive Assistant, US Administrative Assistant, Operations Managers and Director of Project Management to help with day to day administrative functions and office related tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage front reception phones including seven roll over lines and assist visitors to building including Executive level visitors, couriers and delivery
Coordination of air and vehicular travel for US and Canadian staff in conjunction with Executive Assistant
Manage on-line Federal Express shipments - incoming and outgoing; domestic, transborder, international
Coordinate new hire documentation including drug tests, drivers licence abstracts and background checks
Manage coordination and ordering of all office supplies for Canadian office
Responsible for maintenance and distribution of internal office documentation including office phone extension lists and communication
Assist with On Demand conference calls and web based tools such as GoToMeeting
Assist with photocopying, binding and distribution of reports
Assist with meeting set up and preparations
Work with marketing on managing the internal resource library including print media and advertisement material

Qualifications:

Post secondary degree/diploma in administrative studies or equivalent experience
Previous experience working with travel and SABRE would be an asset
Experience dealing with middle to senior level management
Proven computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
1-2 years experience in an office setting environment
Detail oriented and proactive with a high level of attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
