Opportunity Description:
 
The Project Manager reports to the Director of Project Management within the Project Management Office. The Project Manager provides project leadership, management and oversight for projects of varying sizes and scopes by working closely with sales, inspection and project support staff.
 
Responsibilities Include: 
·         Define and implement project plans in accordance with the client’s needs and PPIC’s offerings from prospect development through project planning, execution and closure
·         Provide hands-on project management and actively manage the project plan, deliverables, dependencies and outcome of assigned projects
·         Identify and manage project dependencies to ensure project deliverables stay on-time and on-budget and meet or exceed client expectations
·         Define and manage overall project risk identification and mitigation through interaction with the project team and stakeholders
·         Keep management informed of project activities and deliverables, as well as risks and mitigation strategies
·         Define and manage project change control processes
·         Apply PPIC’s quality assurance process to ensure overall project success
·         Complete and manage project activities using an industry-standard project management process to ensure a consistent approach to project completion with other projects within the organization
 
Working Conditions:
 
The majority of this work is desk-based with some travel to inspection sites and client offices. Regular business hours will be the norm, but will be required to be on-call when out of the office while inspections are on-going.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Engineering consulting, construction, and/or water/wastewater experience are a plus
  • 8 – 10 years experience showing increasing project management responsibility within a multi-location, multi-cultural organization
  • Ability to manage key stakeholder interests, while at the same time managing conflicting priorities and business interests
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including conflict and issue resolution
  • The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills plus the ability to think laterally whilst offering creative solutions
  • IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage change
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proactive with a high level of attention to detail
