A world leader in large diameter water and wastewater pipeline condition assessment, the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company (PPIC) offers forward looking solutions to help customers address aging infrastructure challenges in a reliable and cost effective manner. Our innovative services pinpoint damaged sections of a pipeline to help optimize infrastructure investments, locate leaks, reduce risk and ensure environmental compliance.

Responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with clients in the territory, such that sales opportunities are generated to meet organizational objectives in Eastern USA.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Act as main point of contact with clients and utilities in your designated region
·         Responsible for sales of PPIC solutions into all new accounts and all non key client accounts in territory
·         Responsible for the sales of all PPIC services
·         Management of all data on company CRM
·         Sales forecasting for territory of responsibility
·         Achieving sales plan for territory
·         Demonstrate technical sales skills and product knowledge of PPIC’s services.
·         Develop annual sales plan in conjunction with Sales Manager.
·         Manage expenses
·         Responsible for all trade show / conference activities in area
·         Follow up on all  lead generation activities
·         Management of all sales opportunities in territory

·         Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
·         Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.

·         Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
 
Job Specifications:
·         Ideally Professional Engineer or technical background
·         4-6 years experience in civil, hydraulic, structural engineering
·         Engineering Degree / Technical Degree / Technical Sales experience
·         3 years Sales experience
·         Experience with technical solutions or service environments.
·         Strong understanding of customer and industry dynamics and requirements.
·         Understanding of Water /Sewer infrastructure
·         Proven ability to oversee all sales activities.
·         Office – either home office or PPIC existing sales office (Mississauga or Dallas)
 

Background requirements

·         Industry knowledge with a firm grasp on technology

·         Ability to travel extensively within region (approx. 80-100 nights per year and occasional weekends)

·         Must hold and be able to maintain a valid passport for travel.

·         Applicant must be located within their own territory

·         Ability to relate well to Engineers

·         Good presentation and writing skills

·         History of over quota achievement

·         Experience in services and government sales & sales forecasting systems

·         Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook / Excel / PowerPoint)

·         Able to speak another language (French or Spanish) is a valued asset.

 

Position Profile

·         Candidates should ideally have:

·         3 years sales – ideally service rather than product sales

·         Technology background, ideally engineering

·         Experience in inspection, water distribution or service industries

·         Experience selling across provincial borders (i.e. not just within a small geographic location)

·         Experience dealing with/ selling to municipalities or within government organizations

·         Experience delivering/ selling services
